Soccer game & Department Tea

And... this is what I did during most of the game.

It's been an insanely busy couple of days. Between the soccer game, my presentation for the Computer Science department and my usual pile of work, I haven't had much time to take a break from things (or sleep for that matter).

The soccer game on Sunday went reasonably well. It was about 4 degrees C and raining constantly, so it was a rather cold and wet game (to state the obvious). It brought back memories of playing handball at the Keet in pretty much the same conditions. Anyway, we won 4-2, and aside from a few minor goof-ups I didn't screw up all that badly... woohoo. Had fun too. Credit for the pictures goes to Kaleena, who supported us despite the poor weather :)

On Monday I spent a good chunk of my day preparing my presentation for Tuesday. Kaleena and I stayed up the hill for a good couple of hours to facilitate this, but I still managed to run out of time. I subsequently overslept on Tuesday, so I had to rush a little in order to finish everything. It all turned out well though -- the presentation went pretty well. I presented a project I did over the summer -- Oak Associates' NTSNeditor.

After the presentation I had another meeting, at the Communications Office. There I demonstrated the website I made last week. The demo is up here. When the site goes live I'll post the updated address.

Being the great day that it way, Tuesday didn't end there. I had some work due for Wednesday, which I worked on through most of the evening/night. And now it's Wednesay and well... little tired.

    the day before our mom's birthday. I am working fulltime again. On Fridays everony tends to leave early. My boss even told me to go home, but today I staid a bit longer. Today I got quite a lot done which gives me a good feeling.
    Tomorrow is mom's 52nd birthday and we have got something special planned. Because I know she often looks on this site I will not tell what that is now. Maybe tomorrow when it's done.
    Tonight I will throw myself in the world of building websites. I still have some books about HTML and building webpages. If my site will get half as good as yours I will be pleased. Or my little brother should have some time left.... ;-)

    In a few moments our pensionadvisor will come and visit us. Looking at our so called 'pension gap'. Sigh...

    KJ has his mad hour now...so hide yourselves.

    Ok time for my week's story, seems to be the thing to do here..

    Worked my ass of on our pretty little project I've been working on for about a year now. It has had it's ups and downs but I'm quite ready for a new challenge now so I was pleased to hear there's finally planning going on for me to participate in other projects.
    We did make some major improvements this week which at last gives me some faith we can conclude this actually feeling good about the result.

    My 'wound' is healing quite nicely, but I'm pretty sure now I really did sprain my hip jumping off my bike like that.. Anyway only coughing still hurts laughing is fine again :-)

    Yesterday I went to Marcanti Plaza (previously Chemistry) for one of the parties the 'Amsterdam Dance Event' has to offer. It was rather quiet and when the DJ finally was swapped for a decent one and the better crowd started to come in it was 2am, my cue to leave since I had to work today :-(

    My friend Ralf got himself some free tickets for Tiësto In Concert (Oct 29th Gelredome Arnhem) with his new cell so guess where I'll be next friday :-D

    Guess that's about it, time to start enjoying this much earned weekend..
