Last day of Classes '04

Thursday December 9th, late in the afternoon

Well, my presentation didn't go so bad (see slides on the right). Now I get to do a homework and a lab for Professor Sanchis! W0o0O0t! So let's outline the situation:

  • It's the last day of classes
  • Two assignments.

Oh well... Guess I'll get going soon and be grateful my other professors didn't give me 2 assignments each 8) Time to get at it... cheers! See y'all in 9.5 days ;)

    Good morning everyone. It is Saturday and KJ and I are having breakfast at 8 'o clock. KJ has to work on Saturdays now and I am going to Korean class. By the way Pieter, did you get the Korean vocabulary? What did Kaleena think of it? According to Heesoo some of the words are oldfashion Korean. We are probably going to sing at Korean class today. In februari they celebrate the new (school)year and all classes have to perform. yay.... :-(
    I think it will take me a couple of years before I can make a normal conversation in Korean. We'll see.

    Well, I have to go now. I'll try to leave another message this afternoon.

    It is 18.14 and KJ and I just finished eating 'Shoarma'. Yummy. Today Korean class was quite challenging. In Korea they have two counting systems. One (Korean) is used for age/ quantity and hours the other (Sino-Korean) is used for amounts/minutes and seconds/ date. Well Pieter, I guess you know the Pure- Korean numbers from Tae Kwondo. So if you ask someone about his age:

    실레지만몇살입니까? How old are you?
    스무살입니다. (I) am 20 years.

    Anyway, our teacher gave us some sentences to translate from Dutch into Korean and some sentences to translate from Korean into Dutch. Somehow translating from DUtch into Korean seems to be easier for me. Pieter do you want to receive the new Korean vocabulary list when I am done? Do you want to come along to one of the classes? Next week is our last class for 2004. Then we have a two week break. So are your still here on January 8?
